How to request deletion
Users may request deletion by either of the following methods:
- Use account settings inside WatsapDuka where deletion controls are available.
- Email a deletion request to privacy@watsapduka.com.
What to include in an email request
Please include your name, email address, business name, business phone or WhatsApp number, and a clear statement that you are requesting deletion. If you are requesting deletion for a business account, we may verify that you are the owner or an authorized administrator.
Deletion process
- We acknowledge the request and may ask for verification.
- We identify account, tenant, customer, order, message, and integration data connected to the request.
- We remove or anonymize data that is no longer required to provide the service or meet legal, security, financial, or dispute-resolution obligations.
- We confirm completion or explain any data that must be retained for a lawful reason.
Timelines
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. Some data may remain in encrypted backups, audit logs, financial records, or provider systems for a limited period, typically up to 90 days, before it is overwritten or no longer associated with an active account.
WhatsApp and third-party data
If data has been shared with WhatsApp Business Platform, Meta services, payment providers, hosting providers, or other integrations, those providers may retain data according to their own policies and legal obligations. We will delete or disconnect data within WatsapDuka systems that we control.
Customer requests
If you are a customer of a business using WatsapDuka, you may contact the business directly or email privacy@watsapduka.com. We may route your request to the relevant business tenant because the business controls its own customer relationship.
